The Team

Maidenhead Festival is organised by a team of volunteers, giving up their time and talents to put on this fabulous event.  The 2017 team comprises of:

Lisa Hunter: Chairman

As a member of Maidenhead Bridge Rotary Club the local community is always at the front of my mind. Coming up wtih ideas on how to improve the local area, fundraising for local causes and volunteering my time to improve the lives of others. When the chance to join the festival committee came about I couldn't refuse. I’m proud to head up  the team that pulls together such a big community event that does so much to support so many local groups and organisations and gives the opportunity for local up and coming musicians to perform. It is brilliant to be able to support this amazing, free and fantastically fun town event.

Steph James: Site Operations

I have lived in Maidenhead all my life and through my job as Town Manager have got involved with loads of great community events and got to know lots of people who are doing amazing things for the town in their own time. The Festival Committee works tirelessly throughout the year to make sure the town has it’s own community Festival that’s free for everyone to enjoy. We hope you have a great time at this year’s event and spread the word to everyone to come and join us.

Becky Pollock: Treasurer

I am the Corporate Services Director for the Maidenhead Advertiser. Raised and schooled in Maidenhead, I have worked at the local newspaper for almost 20 years. Starting as an advertising telesales operator, I moved into the finance department as credit controller before then working closely with CEO as company secretary and more latterly developing a human resource function for the company. I now head up the core administrative departments of finance, HR newspaper sales and corporate services for the company.

I have been involved with the Festival Committee for three years as Treasurer. I'm passionate about community engagement and love to see local people and local businesses coming together to create something special for the benefit of the people of Maidenhead.

Carly Kenny - Ents

Under the banner of Maidenhead Live I have been booking and coordinating live music events in and around Maidenhead for the past 5 years. I jumped at the chance to be involved with the festival again this year. Last years show was hard work but an amazing event to be a part of! Working so closely with talented individuals to entertain and bring an amazing show to the community is something I adore doing. The range of amazing musicians in our community is something I know we are all very proud of, and seeing the crowd react well to a band they may never have heard of before, makes it all worth while.

Martin Cabble-Reid: Sponsorship

Martin has lived in Maidenhead for the past six years and runs his own Production company ‘Moon on a Stick Productions’ currently working with the royal borough of Windsor & Maidenhead on the development of the Desborough Theatre. As an actor Martin trained at Chichester College of Arts & Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London.

Martin created a comedy character called 'Kevin Cruise' as part of a Comedy Course in London.  Within a year, Kevin Cruise was an award-winning regular on the UK comedy and cabaret circuit.  In 2010 Kevin Cruise was chosen as the lead audition for the fourth series Britain’s Got Talent and made it through to the finals.  Kevin was booked to perform in Pantomime at the Theatre Royal Windsor for producer Bill Kenwright and now returns yearly.

After his first year at the theatre Martin set up home in Maidenhead and regularly opens local fetes, supports local charities, turns on the town centre Christmas lights.  In October Martin produced the Desborough Gala in aid of the Mayor of RBWM Benevolent Fund.

Martin has been involved with the Festival Committee for two years, bringing his entertainment knowledge and show project management skills with him. Martin is great to work with and full of passion of supporting the local arts in Maidenhead and the community in general.

Nina Lenton - Marketing

I joined the committee in 2016, and really enjoyed being part of the organising team, as well as listening to all the different bands and singers during the weekend. Once again I will be writing about the festival to introduce people to the acts and stallholders, and also helping with the social media communications.

I have been involved in organising and helping at local community events for over 10 years, as a member of Rotaract and now Rotary. During that time I’ve written and edited newsletters, managed social media accounts and coordinated PR for Rotary and other local charities.
